If you are involved in St. George’s business community, you can’t miss out on the different resources offered by Dixie Business Resource Center. Their different classes and opportunities are meant to help members of the business. Here are 4 reasons to check out Dixie State’s Small Business Resource center.

Business Classes

Dixie State University offers short-term classes on business technology, accounting and grad school prep. These classes are open to students as well as the public. In a recent interview with St. George News, Dr. Kyle Wells, the Dean of the Udvar-Hazy School of business said,  “Past graduates are getting jobs that require additional skills in information technology. We are responding with a few key courses with plans to expand offerings, especially in areas of technology. We hope that we can build interest from current and past students, as well as local business owners that want to brush up.” These classes take place once a week and you can learn more at Dixie’s Website.

Networking Opportunities and Conferences

Dixie University and the Udvar-Hazy School of business hold various conferences and networking events throughout the year. Checking up on their calendar of events could really pay off. The next event will be the “What’s Up Down South” Economic Summit on January 15. These events offer opportunities to discuss the economic climate of St. George and the surrounding area. They also make great networking events and places to meet potential clients, business partners, and employees.

Online Resources

On the Business School website, several online resources are available to help you plan, grow, and expand your business. These resources include helpful literature and worksheets, as well as contact information for various mentors, consultants, and other professionals that can help you at various points in your business cycle.

One-on-One Counseling Services

One-on-one consulting services in marketing, finance, managing, and more are available as well. One of the best things you can do for your business is ask for help. Using the Small Business Resource Center is a great way to talk to professionals about the best path for your business.
